New Custom Tooled Imus 4-Beat PDF Print E-mail

This is THE Saddle of a Lifetime!

Hand tooled Imus 4-Beat saddle

NEW!  The Imus 4-Beat™ saddle has always been as attractive as it is comfortable and functional – but this hand tooled floral model is one of the most strikingly stylish saddles on the market today.  Richly detailed floral tooling beautifully accents the fenders, seat jockeys, cantle, and pommel.  The Imus 4-Beat™ hand tooled saddle possesses all the features unique to the standard Imus 4-Beat saddle: SupraCor© padding in the seat and between the flexible tree bars and fleece, unique positioning of the saddle that places the rider in a natural bareback riding position, forward set stirrups, and center-fired rigging.  This saddle will make you the envy of all your friends!  Available in rich pecan, with a hand stitched pencil roll cantle.  Words truly cannot do this saddle justice!

The price of this hand tooled saddle is only $1,995.  Comparable high quality, hand-tooled saddles sell for hundreds of dollars more.  Our slim profit margin on this item prevents us from offering it at a reduced introductory price, but as an introductory offer we will include a tough, attractive saddle carrier/cover free with every purchase of this saddle.  This is a $100 value, good thru Aug. 31. Order today by calling National Bridle Shop at 1-800-251-3474.  (If you want to surprise a loved one with this saddle for Christmas, you can talk to NBS staff about the possibility of buying one on the lay-a-way plan. . .)

Saddle Placement - The Imus 4-Beat™ Saddle PDF Print E-mail
The placement of the saddle OVER the shoulders allows complete freedom of movement and places the rider where the horse has the largest weight-bearing area.  The angles of the bars are designed to cup the shoulder with very little or no contact. The flexible tree combined with Supracor padding Supracor padding allow the horse's shoulders complete freedom of movement.

"Fit MY Horse" Services PDF Print E-mail

We highly encourage those of you who are considering the purchase of an  Imus 4-Beat™ Saddle to take advantage of our unique "Help Fit My Horse" service.  Many owners believe that if their horse has a large barrel, it requires a wide tree - but this is not the primary consideration when determining correct saddle tree configuration.  Some horses that may appear 'standard' to the average eye actually require a tree with angles for a wider topline.  Jake and I know how to tell the difference, and can save you a lot of wasted time and effort - and it takes you only a few minutes to avail yourself of this service.  We will look at photos of your horse and ask a few key questions and you can be sure of your saddle choice in no time! Here is how it works: Answer a few questions, upload a few photos, and we'll get back to you - usually within the day!

"I just wanted to tell you that I have had my saddle for 2 weeks, and that I am thrilled with it! I have owned horses and trail ridden for over 42 years now, and have tried just about every type of saddle there is, and have never really been satisfied with any of them. If someone would have told me that I would find an off the shelf saddle of this quality, along with the fact that it would fit my two horses who have very different builds, I would have been skeptical to say the least!

When I first got the saddle, I was impressed with the high quality of workmanship, along with the attractive design. After calling Jamie, who by the way was very good in getting back to me (a rarity in today’s busy world) I figured out how to properly place the saddle on the horse. Although I was not used to riding so far forward in a saddle, I have always liked to ride bareback for that very reason, being right up on the horse's center of gravity. To my surprise the saddle is very stable, extremely comfortable, lightweight, and fun to ride. When I pulled the thin navaho blanket off, my horse's back was smooth and damp, with no dry spots anywhere! Even better, he moved freely down those steep hills, and had more energy than ever before. As an experiment, I put the saddle on my other horse, and lo and behold, it fit him too! Needless to say, I am sold on your saddle, and can't wait to ride some more. Thank you Gaits of Gold!"

Sincerely,

Eve L

Olalla, WA

"Ninja and I really gave the saddle a workout yesterday. We did 15 miles in the North Georgia Mountains. I went out today and he is not at all sore.

I saw a huge difference in his desire to gait down hill. He was flying in his gait. My friend said, I never thought I'd see you ask to go fast downhill. But I felt that he was perfectly balanced and he was loving it. Thanks again, glad I had enough sense to buy it."

  Saddle Satisfaction Guarantee

National Bridle Shop and I are so sure you are going to love your Imus 4-Beat™ saddle that we are offering an unprecedented guarantee. If, for any reason whatsoever, you decide you do not want to keep your saddle within 14 days of receiving it, call National Bridle Shop (800-251-3474) and arrange to have it shipped back to their store no questions asked.

Why are we willing to go out on a limb like this? For two reasons: First, it is not simply our intention to sell saddles; rather, it is our goal to fit horses. A quality saddle is more than a purchase - it is a financial and emotional investment. So it's important that if the saddle doesn't suit you or your horse, that you don't feel 'stuck' with it. Secondly, with the lowest rate of returns in the saddle industry, we're very confident that the vast majority of buyers are going to be thrilled with this purchase - and this guarantee will help make it an even easier decision to order your Imus 4-Beat™ saddle.

We often field questions about what kind of leather we use in our 4-Beat™ Saddles. What will follow is detailed description of the leather that Gaits of Gold uses and also a comparison of other categories and qualities of leather that are on the market. What will become very evident is that not all leather is created equally, and Gaits of Gold is proud to use only the finest hand selected full grain, vat dyed leathers in our 4-Beat™ saddles.

Fitting Gaited Horses Is An Art! PDF Print E-mail

If you were going on a long hike, carrying a heavy backpack, what would you prefer to wear on your feet: wooden shoes, or well-made, flexible soled hiking boots with padding for the soles of your feet? Since the answer to this question is so obvious, I can't help but wonder why so many of use took so very long to realize the same principle holds true for our horses . . .

The Complete 4-Beat™ Saddle Story PDF Print E-mail
After working with gaited horses of every description for a few years, it became increasingly obvious that one of the primary detriments to a fluid, comfortable 4-beat saddle gait was poor saddle fit–or perhaps more accurately, poor saddle dynamics. As I analyzed saddle fit and gait action, the factor that proved troublesome, over and over again, was lack of adequate give in the saddle tree to accommodate the action of the horse’s back as it attempted to move each leg independently of the others, at speed.
