"I just wanted to tell you that I have had my saddle for 2 weeks, and that I am thrilled with it! I have owned horses and trail ridden for over 42 years now, and have tried just about every type of saddle there is, and have never really been satisfied with any of them. If someone would have told me that I would find an off the shelf saddle of this quality, along with the fact that it would fit my two horses who have very different builds, I would have been skeptical to say the least! When I first got the saddle, I was impressed with the high quality of workmanship, along with the attractive design. After calling Jamie, who by the way was very good in getting back to me (a rarity in today’s busy world) I figured out how to properly place the saddle on the horse. Although I was not used to riding so far forward in a saddle, I have always liked to ride bareback for that very reason, being right up on the horse's center of gravity. To my surprise the saddle is very stable, extremely comfortable, lightweight, and fun to ride. When I pulled the thin navaho blanket off, my horse's back was smooth and damp, with no dry spots anywhere! Even better, he moved freely down those steep hills, and had more energy than ever before. As an experiment, I put the saddle on my other horse, and lo and behold, it fit him too! Needless to say, I am sold on your saddle, and can't wait to ride some more. Thank you Gaits of Gold!"

"Ninja and I really gave the saddle a workout yesterday. We did 15 miles in the North Georgia Mountains. I went out today and he is not at all sore.
I saw a huge difference in his desire to gait down hill. He was flying in his gait. My friend said, I never thought I'd see you ask to go fast downhill. But I felt that he was perfectly balanced and he was loving it. Thanks again, glad I had enough sense to buy it."

"I purchased one of your saddles from you last fall for my 3 yoa TW. I have raised quarter horses for the past 15 years, this is the first gaited horse I have owned. I have since sold two of my quarter horses!! I began riding my 3 year old last summer in the saddles I already own, mostly a large western saddle. The difference in how my horse moves was very apparent upon saddling her up with your saddle. I am sold on your product. Thank you for your product."

"Just wanted to drop you a note that I got my saddle yesterday. Of course I had to try it out immediately so I put it on my husband's Walker and it fit her like a glove. WWWWOW!!! I could not believe how comfortable that saddle is! Half way through the ride my husband and I switched horses and my husband even remarked how incredibly comfortable the saddle was. It fit his mare like a glove, so today I gave it the real test....my Walker gelding. I have tried numerous saddles on him, including my husband's saddle which was designed for Walking Horses but even that leaves dry spots on him. There were no dry spots under the saddle when I pulled it off! The icing on the cake is that the saddle is gorgeous! The quality of the leather is superb, and the embossing is gorgeous. I love this saddle! Thank you so much for making a product that lives up to the advertising claim. May your trails be as happy, smooth and comfortable as mine have become....... "

"Received the saddle today and even though it is very cold out, we tried it on my mare and I rode for a short while. It fits her better than any saddle I have tried and I have gone through several! She did seem looser in front and more relaxed. I really like it!!! I will probably be getting one of your pads but may wait until you come to the Equine Affair. "When I bought my 5.2 h Missouri Foxtrotter, I did not know that saddle fitting would become a problem. I used my Quarterhorse saddle and thought it was fitting fine until I went with friends on a 2 -3 hour trail ride. The problem started after one hour on the trail. My horse became disobedient, shook his head, waived his tail, and broke out in a big sweat. I realized that something was wrong with him. I dismounted and walked the three miles home with him. The next day, I took him to our local tack store. The people working there measured my horses back and measured my saddle and said, "this saddle fits your horse perfectly". A day later, I saw a big bruise behind my horses shoulder.
I turned to the computer and ordered a gaited horse saddle from a well known saddle maker. Saddle arrived, saddle did not fit, saddle went back. I paid $38 shipping plus $50 restocking fee. I thought, this can become really expensive. When I found the Gaits of Gold Website I appreciated all the free information about gaited horses and saddles. It just "felt right" to me and I ordered the 4 beat saddle. When the saddle arrived, I knew immediately that this saddle was right. I was born and raised in Germany and quality is a big issue for us. The soft leather combined with great workmanship is what I was looking for. It fits my horse perfectly. Several of my friends have tried my new saddle and liked it...but they are still looking for a cheaper one. Good Luck friends, ha! "

You'll probably remember me from all the questions I had about purchasing my saddle, which, by the way, you answered very well. Well, I didn't get to do a lot of riding in Aug, due to some family problems, but I have been riding more lately and just wanted to tell you that I do love the saddle and am really getting used to it. It was an adjustment for me, after being in an Aussie saddle for so long, but now find this comfortable and the best part is that my Paso Fino is finally gaiting more evenly and consistently. We had a largo today that felt like we were flying! Everything else is the same, so it must have been the saddle I was using previously. I am also finding that my horse likes my weight farther back..I am usually a more balanced seat rider, but I think I have found the right balance for him now. Well, just thought I would let you know that I am another satisfied customer and am VERY happy that I went with your saddle."

"I have finally had the time to put lots of miles on my Imus 4-Beat Saddle outside on real rugged, hilly, muddy trails. I love it; my horse loves it and he now walks down hills in a relaxed balanced manner. With my wooden tree roping saddle he was walking very stiffly and had white hairs forming on his withers. THOSE are GONE! I have one friend that has gotten the saddle for her Foxtrotter and loves it, and another friend that is saving up for one for her Foxtrotter. "I'm writing about the Imus 4-Beat Endurance Style Saddle. As soon as I received it, I took the saddle to the facility where my young horse was being trained to see if it fit him and would work for us. The trainer rode it in first and she was very impressed with the way it fit and the ease of movement the horse had using this saddle. I have been riding my young horse (4-yr.-old Missouri Foxtrotter gelding) using this saddle and feel very secure in the seat even when Blackie is hopping up and down, which, thankfully, he doesn't do too often. There has been no apparent soreness on his back after using the saddle and I don't get any impression of discomfort from him under saddle. I'm also using your saddle pad, so the whole system seems to be comfortable for the horse. It is very comfortable for me, too. The seat is soft and deep and, most importantly, it stays put. It's wonderful not to have a saddle that shifts from side to side. Oh, did I mention that the saddle, in black, is beautiful, too? Thanks for putting out such a great product at such an affordable price."
